About Vanessa
Vanessa Vy (Truog), Art Director, has a degree in Graphic Arts from
Full Sail and the Art Institute. Vanessa spent 6 years after college
working as a Graphic Designer. The last few years of her design career
progressed to an Art Director, managed others, recruited and branded
up-coming companies. As manager, one of Vanessa's principle
responsibilities was attending to customer needs. While 40% of her time
was devoted to the administrative details to running the company, 60%
of the time was dealing with customers, assessing their needs and
delivering a service that exceeded their expectations. Vanessa is also
an entrepreneur with starts ups that have been successful and featured
in Cambridge Who's who for a successful business woman in her industry.
After years of experience Vanessa got more involved in branding. Naming
companies and slogans. One being her first record label Reduced Phat
"Grade A Electronic Music". the first various artist complication
titled 2% was 3 artists who produced 3 tracks then remixed other
artist's tracks on the CD forming an anti-complication. 2% proceeds
sold through CD Baby were donated to Katrina Victims. Vanessa was able
to develop close relationships with customers and was able to have new
and upcoming artists gain recognition with promotion, record sales and
live concert bookings.
A few music review write up highlights, "The first album off Florida's
Reduced Phat label has marked the music world with the brilliant 2%
non-compilation" and across the pond in Germany "An interesting concept
on an interesting label from Florida, that you should really check out
if you like high-speed drums and get raised neck hairs from
jungle-noises in a wild-brutal, metallic-industrial noise context." and
from Grooves Magazine: "Reduced Phat may hail from the sunshine state,
but there is nothing South Beach cool or pastel-hued about this drum n'
bass compilation. While these artists don't break any new ground, they
do acquit themselves well. With that in mind, hopefully this
compilation will birth a new drum n' bass renaissance. - Richard Moule

A google search will bring up the in depth
reviews and various sites that list the music RP put out as well as
itunes and other online digital media shops.
Other highlights of venturing into company names and slogans are Method
Burn "Burning tiny dots into things you love". Method burn is a
stippling company that adds textures to tactical accessories. Then
Modify8 "Premier Concierge Experience" and "Get a life, Get a
lifestylist.". Modify8 is about personal shopping and stylists. Modify
means to modify, modify your life, your fashion and your style, the 8
stands for a figure eight/hourglass.
